About the role

The Safety and Occupational Health Specialist supports a nationwide safety program by providing expert guidance, policy interpretation, and oversight in occupational safety, compliance, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Offer guidance on hazard control, compliance, and risk management
• Conduct inspections and investigations of safety incidents
• Develop and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks
• Review and evaluate safety plans and procedures
• Deliver safety policies and training programs
• Represent the organization to stakeholders on safety matters
• Maintain safety records and ensure regulatory compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, or a related field
• Minimum of five years of relevant experience in occupational safety
• Professional certifications in safety (preferred)
• Expert knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety systems
• Familiarity with construction methods and hazard detection
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to develop innovative safety solutions
