General Description Of Position As the Safety and Compliance Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in supporting independent contractors to ensure compliance with safety regulations, promote safe driving practices, and help build a culture of safety within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce Lightning’s Safety Policies by onboarding Independent Contractors through a comprehensive orientation process, ensuring completion of all required documentation, training, inspections, and certifications, while maintaining open communication and providing ongoing safety training to support a strong safety culture.
• Ensure contractor compliance with all regulatory, safety, and recordkeeping requirements by maintaining qualification files, managing permits, conducting audits, and taking corrective actions as needed.
• Oversee Lightning’s equipment program by managing inspections, maintenance, and compliance of tractors, chassis, GPS units, tablets, and related devices, ensuring accurate records,
