Safety Aide

About the role

A Safety Aide is needed to support a safe and secure community through observation, reporting, and resident-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Provide general safety and security through observation, monitoring, and reporting to promote a safe and secure environment across the community.
• Perform gatekeeper duties by screening and directing residents, guests, vendors, contractors, and visitors as needed.
• Carry out periodic patrols of common and public areas, on foot or by vehicle, and check security functions during rounds.
• Maintain surveillance equipment, fire alarm systems, and emergency call systems, responding to alarms and escalating issues appropriately.
• Assist during resident or employee emergencies, provide staff escorts during non-regular business hours, maintain accurate logs and reports, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in building or grounds security, or a related field.
• Knowledge of alarm and communication systems and ability to communicate with Police and Fire departments.
• Ability to complete forms accurately and maintain detailed logs and reports.
• Formal training or experience in self-defense methods.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification upon hire or within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods.

Pay

$15.38 - $18.58 / hr DOE

Monday: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Tuesday: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Friday: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Saturday: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Sunday: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Wednesday: OFF
