Safety Advisor II
Airswift is seeking a Safety Advisor II for a 12-month assignment with a major oil and gas company in Kemmerer, Wyoming.

This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong safety professional with proven construction safety experience, preferably in oil and gas. The Safety Advisor II supports site leadership and contractor teams to enhance safety performance, implement safety processes, and maintain high standards across complex field activities. The role offers exposure to construction sites, operational facilities, and multidisciplinary project environments, requiring practical safety leadership and independent judgment. Candidates should be confident working in demanding field conditions and contributing directly to safe project delivery.
Role Context
This position supports safety activities across project construction sites, onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities, drilling rigs, and associated locations such as offices, warehouses, and communities. The role is field-based and may involve harsh conditions, remote locations, uneven walking surfaces, climbing, and extended periods on-site. It operates within an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project setting, collaborating with leadership and contractor teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide safety and health support to site leadership and contractor teams within the project environment.
- Support the implementation of the Safety Management System and achievement of safety objectives.
- Assist business lines in developing safety processes related to risk assessment, safety training, asset integrity, safe operations, contractor safety, emergency preparedness, and incident investigation.
- Conduct field inspections across construction sites, oil and gas facilities, drilling rigs, and support facilities to identify safety concerns and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with teams to formulate cost-effective solutions to site safety issues.
- Participate in safety studies and reviews, including PHAs, HAZOPs, JSAs, incident investigations, compliance reviews, and insurance surveys.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience in construction safety-related positions.
- Prior oil and gas experience.
- In-depth knowledge of safety processes and procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English to operate effectively within a project team.
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, and perform effectively within company processes.
- Physically fit for duty in a construction field environment, including walking, climbing, bending, standing for extended periods, and working around large structures.
- Ability to work in harsh environments, including temperature or humidity extremes and remote locations with limited amenities.
Desirable:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a multicultural or multilingual environment.
- Demonstrated record of strong project safety performance and successful team-based working relationships.
- Willingness to travel or live away from home for extended periods.
