Description SMG is a nationally recognized professional service organization that provides workplace safety consulting, training, staffing, program planning, and implementation. SMG seeks a Safety Advisor – Construction in Boise, Idaho – Day Shift - Per diem is available for this project. The key function of a Safety Advisor is to put safety at the forefront of their job, prioritize the client’s needs, work well in a team setting, be self-managed, and be flexible when it comes to change and travel. The Associate in this role will work in a construction environment. This project is a semi-conductor site. This person will work with one of the mechanical contractors. Additional Information SMG full-time, benefitted Associates are eligible for Premium Pay after working 40 billable hours for the week. Premium pay is at a 1.35 multiplier.Per Diem is available for non-local candidates only. Per diem is $180/day for this project.This projects anticpated duration is until May of 2027. Anticipated schedule is week 1 - 60 hours for the week, week 2 - 60 hours for the week, week 3 - 50 hours for the week. This roation of hours will be consistent. Schedule could change.$400 Road Warrior Benefit each month.Annual pay/merit review/increase. Overview Of Job Responsibilities Site safety observations, including documentation of findingsMust be able to create reports, run safety metrics, and use other software programsConduct Job Hazard AnalysisRepresent the contractor in progress meetingsVerify compliance with safety policies and procedures as required by law, the Owner, and contractorsConduct New Hire Orientations and safety meetingsProvides incident management and supportDocumentation and Report preparationConducts Contractor program reviews Requirements Five plus years of construction safety experienceExperience overseeing mechanical crews/piping is a plusBSCP Cert preferred - CSP, CHST, STSC, etc.A degree in safety or related fields is preferredFirst-aid/CPR certification from the American Red Cross or the American Heart AssociationOSHA 510OSHA 30-hr Construction Physical Demands of the job may include Moving about long distancesAscending/Descending stairs and laddersRemaining in a stationary position for a prolonged periodWorking in extreme weatherBeing exposed to loud noisesWearing personal protective gear correctly Join an elite group of Safety Professionals!
