About This Role
The Safety Admin will support the Safety team on project tasks as assigned and assist in day-to-day clerical duties while working within multiple databases.
- Assist with review, tracking, and scheduling of employee training
- Handle and process Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Work on various other assignments including clothing programs
- Coordinate new hire onboarding activities
- Support DOT and driver compliance activities
- Maintain inventory records and safety-related databases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or a combination of experience and additional training which supports the position
- Experience working with safety systems and databases
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Team facilitation skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional settings
- Strong team player with the ability to organize, prioritize, handle time constraints and manage shifting priorities
- Ability to work independently
Skills
- Knowledgeable on safety terminology, rate indicators and how to calculate them
- Knowledge of Federal, State and Provincial occupational safety regulations including OSHA, FAA, MSHA, EPA and health standards such as ANSI, NFPA, NEC and other non-regulatory safety codes and standards required
- Experience with employee onboarding, PPE inventory management, DOT compliance programs, and safety management systems preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform occasional warehouse, inventory, and material handling activities, including operation of forklifts or similar equipment
