SAFEGUARDING OFFICER

About the role

The Child Safeguarding Officer will implement, monitor, and strengthen child safeguarding practices across Railway Children India (RCI) programmes. Reporting directly to the CEO, the role involves working closely with the Programme Manager, Family Reintegration and Senior Programme Manager to ensure safeguarding policies, procedures, and standards are consistently upheld.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safeguarding risk assessments
• Develop and deliver training for staff, volunteers, and partners
• Provide guidance to strengthen safeguarding practices
• Maintain confidential incident records
• Conduct compliance audits
• Support the organisation in identifying and addressing safeguarding risks to ensure a safe environment for every child
