About the Role

The SAF Sr. Engineer at Eurofins USA Consumer Product Testing is responsible for a variety of tasks including:

• Serve as a customer technical contact.
• Interpret standards and apply requirements to products under investigation.
• Create and implement test procedures.
• Conduct tests in accordance with standards and procedures, record results.
• Ensure that test equipment is calibrated or tested and operates properly.
• Interface with and update the Lab Manager(s), Team Leader(s) and Project Coordinator(s).
• Absorb and assist with training of junior technicians and engineers.
• Review files and reports prepared by project engineers.
• Maintain oversight of multiple projects underway.
• Prepare certification reports and related documents.
• Assist with quoting and sales activities.
• Keep current with industry technical developments and disseminate to the team as necessary.
• Support training of testing personnel as needed, particularly in relevant fields of expertise.
• Perform technical reviews of relevant reports and project files prepared by other engineers.
• Support management with Sales and Marketing activities.

Qualifications

• Basic Minimum Educational Requirements: Four-year college Engineering degree, or other technical degree with relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of direct work experience in product safety engineering and hazardous location equipment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and be receptive to and accepting guidance from others.
• Able to work well in a team environment and handle difficult people and problems.
• Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and prioritize assignments.
• Professional appearance and willingness to travel.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Physical Requirements

• Able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds.
