About the role

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

In this strategic and impactful role, you will help lead Enterprise Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) initiatives across Blue Origin's entire mission set. You will be responsible for developing S&OP methodologies, processes, training, tools, and governance required to operate and execute company-wide Sales and Operations Planning successfully, on schedule, and on budget. You will have the opportunity to create, design, develop, and support the execution of an Enterprise Program Management Operating System across Blue Origin programs.

As a part of the S&OP team, you will be directly involved in building foundational program management and business optimization tools into our scaling organization. This includes liaising between our Business Unit program management offices, program managers, Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads, finance business partners, and data analytics team, leveraging data from multiple sources to create analysis and insights for improvement. You will collaborate, design, train, and communicate S&OP processes, tools, and best practices while serving as a change agent with strong credibility and influence in the organization.

This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!

Responsibilities

  • Lead Enterprise Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) initiatives across Blue Origin's entire mission set.
  • Develop S&OP methodologies, processes, training, tools, and governance to ensure successful execution on schedule and on budget.
  • Create, design, develop, and support the execution of an Enterprise Program Management Operating System across Blue Origin programs.
  • Build foundational program management and business optimization tools into the scaling organization.
  • Liaise between Business Unit program management offices, program managers, Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads, finance business partners, and data analytics team.
  • Leverage data from multiple sources to create analysis and insights for improvement.
  • Collaborate, design, train, and communicate S&OP processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Serve as a change agent with strong credibility and influence in the organization.
  • Manage program baseline and any changes, including risks, issues, and opportunities.
  • Report program performance (technical, cost, and schedule deliverables) to senior management and customers.
  • Assume responsibility for program budget planning, strategy, and high-level communications across the organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a B.S./B.A. degree in engineering, business, or other technical field.
  • Minimum 6-10 years of related program/product management experience.
  • Previous proven experience in Operations, Manufacturing, or Master Scheduling.
  • Experience with demand planning, capacity planning, logic-linked scheduling, change control management, cost-account management, risk management, and performance management.
  • Extensive working knowledge of program management principles and disciplines, sales, operations, and supply chain, along with industry best practices.
  • Proven history of collaborating with Business Unit PMOs to create, document, and implement common procedures and practices at an enterprise level.
  • Strong technical software skills (AI, Tableau, Automation, Scheduling tools).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment while developing products/tools, establishing frameworks, and setting up processes and training.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • SIOP process major change or new implementation experience.
  • Strong familiarity with engineering, manufacturing, and ERP systems.
  • Experience with IMP/IMS, risk management, configuration management, requirements management processes.
  • Experience across multiple portions of the program and product development life cycle.
  • Experience with spaceflight or aircraft development programs.
  • Experience with milestone-driven logic-linked scheduling and cost management tools and techniques (EVM experience a plus).

Pay

Compensation range for WA applicants is $121,023.00 - $169,432.20. Other site ranges may differ.
