About the Role
The Distribution Clerk 2 handles returned merchandise shipped from customers and records information about the merchandise into the SAP and/or AS/400 information system.
Responsibilities
- Inspects and evaluates frames in an accurate and timely manner
- Ensures accurate evaluation of the product is keyed into the system
- Uses the SAP or AS/400 information system to obtain relevant information and research
- Monitors labels for correct shipping dates and tracks errors
- Assists with tracking late or lost packages
- Maintains shipping records
- Completes projects as assigned by Leadership Team
- Maintains clean and safe work environment
- Assists Supervisors and/or other lead associates when necessary
- Assists with training of new distribution associates
- Participates and leads or conducts departmental meetings
- Makes recommendations for improving processes and procedures
- Acts as a positive role model for other associates and displays enthusiastic behavior
- Maintains proficiency in all functions within direct area of responsibility
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong data entry and keyboarding skills
- Experience performing diversified duties with shipping and distribution
- Excellent computer skills
- Ability to follow directions, meet production schedules, and complete assignments within established instructions
- Attention to detail/accuracy
- Excellent mathematical aptitude/numerical recognition
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Extraordinary organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as requested by Supervisors/Manager
- Ability to work in a stand/walk position for up to 10 hours
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word), AS400, SAP
