About the role
The State of California's Department of Health Care Access and Information seeks an experienced Rx Cost Transparency Analyst II. This role focuses on analyzing and reviewing data submissions from prescription drug manufacturers for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and review data submissions from prescription drug manufacturers for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Support constructive relationships with industry and public stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing, with or without reasonable accommodation, in dealing with the public and/or other employees.
- Develop and maintain knowledge and skill related to specific tasks, methodologies, materials, tools, and equipment.
- Complete assignments in a timely and efficient manner.
- Adequately adhere to the Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) policies and procedures regarding attendance, leave, and conduct.
- Ensure compliance with California Prescription Drug Pricing for Purchasers statute and regulations.
Qualifications
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 2 years of progressively responsible experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) hours each month.
Skills
Effective communication skills, ability to interpret and apply statutes or regulations to ensure compliance, and experience analyzing large or complex datasets to identify outliers, trends, or inconsistencies are essential.

Pay
