Opportunity to join the Departments of Pediatrics at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center and The Children’s Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center as a board-certified Pediatric Nephrologist, working in both Livingston and Newark.

About the Role

The successful applicant will join an expanding team of 2 Pediatric Nephrologists, 2 Registered Nurses, and 1 full-time Social Worker. This position focuses on cultivating the continued development of the Pediatric Nephrology team while offering opportunities for personal career growth.

Clinical duties include daily outpatient clinics, inpatient attending, and consult responsibilities for the Barnabas Health Children’s Kidney Center service. The role requires rounding at various dialysis facilities affiliated with the division and collaborating with the Kidney Transplant Center at RWJ Barnabas Hospital, one of the largest in the nation. Knowledge of kidney transplantation, kidney biopsy procedures, and dialysis modalities is expected.

A strong commitment to teaching and education of medical students, pediatric residents, and other members of the multidisciplinary Nephrology team is required. The position is available immediately.

Facilities

  • Total of 51 Pediatric inpatient beds, 135 NICU beds, and 31 ICU beds across both centers.
  • Affiliation with the Kidney Transplant Center at RWJ Barnabas Hospital.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Nephrology with sufficient fellowship training.
  • New Jersey medical license or eligibility for licensure.
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Pay

The anticipated salary range for this position is $225,000 to $325,000 per year. Compensation will depend on the candidate’s educational background, skills, and professional experience.
