RWJBarnabas Behavioral Health Center is Seeking a Tele-Nocturnist Psychiatrist!
About the Role
RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey, is seeking a Tele-nocturnist psychiatrist to support its PESS/crisis units and inpatient psychiatric units throughout the system. This position is completely remote, allowing for a great work-life balance.
Physicians provide psychiatric services from a remote location via computer/phone for patients at RWJBarnabas Health locations. The RWJBH Transfer Center will manage and triage communications with the physician. Coverage includes the following shift:
- 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM (2 days per week, as assigned)
Example services provided include:
- Voluntary admission with or without telepsych, including admission orders
- Involuntary admission with telepsych, including commitment paperwork
- Phone discussions and discharges with PESS sites
- Phone recommendations for intervention for inpatient or PESS patients
- Manage/start medications including PRNs, standing, and home medications
This is a 100% remote, per-diem position with night shifts only.
Requirements
- New Jersey licensed or eligible for licensure
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Geriatric or Adult Psychiatry
Pay
$165/hour
