RWD Scientist
The Opportunity
The RWD Scientist plays a key role in generating insights from real-world data to inform clinical development, regulatory strategy, and healthcare decision-making. You will design and execute observational studies, contribute to data strategy, and collaborate across teams within Development and the broader Pharma organization. Your work enables evidence generation across therapeutic areas and supports the responsible and impactful use of real-world data at scale.

Your work enables evidence generation across therapeutic areas and supports the responsible and impactful use of real-world data at scale. You support use of RWD by designing studies to address clinical, operational, regulatory, or payer questions.
Who you are
- You hold a Master’s or PhD in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Economics, or a related field
- You have a minimum of 2-4 years of experience working with healthcare or real-world data in applied research settings; or an advanced degree with 0-2 years of equivalent work experience
- You have experience using statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, Python) for data analysis
- You have the capacity for independent thinking and ability to make decisions based upon sound principles
- You exhibit Excellent strategic agility including problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and agility that extends beyond technical domain
- You demonstrate respect for cultural differences when interacting with colleagues in the global workplace
- You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, specifically in the areas of presentation and writing, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear language
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in agile project teams or regulated environments
- Exposure to pharmacoepidemiology or HEOR
- Experience in the cardiovascular, renal, or metabolic disease therapeutic area is a plus
- Authorship of publications is a plus
Location
This position is based in Boston, Massachusetts. Relocation assistance is not available.
Pay
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Boston, Massachusetts is $115,200.00 - $214,000.00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
