Rupture Disc Operator Trainee
Job Summary
Fike Corporation, a rapidly growing international manufacturer of pressure relief, explosion protection, fire suppression and detection equipment, seeks a Rupture Disc Operator Trainee. This entry role focuses on training and assisting operators. Responsibilities include assisting in lifting, moving, clamping and bolting dies and material on machines for formation, pressing out parts using punch presses and hydraulic air presses, using shears, nibblers, sanders, and soldering equipment, buffing parts clean, and washing parts in an appropriate solution. The position also involves cleaning work area, tools, and equipment, adhering to safety practices, 6S, and following Fike policies and ISO9001.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assists in lifting, moving, clamping and bolting dies and material on machines for formation.
- May press out parts using punch presses and hydraulic air presses.
- May use shears, nibblers, sanders and soldering equipment.
- May use a Scotch Brite or sandpaper to buff part clean and/or wash part in an appropriate solution.
- Cleans work area, tools, and equipment.
- Adheres to safety practices, 6S, and follows Fike policies and ISO9001.
- Must be able to pass the forklift certificate within 6 months of hire.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Compensation
This position starts at $20/hr and is based on the candidate’s experience.

Job Qualifications
- REQUIRED:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and follow instructions, work orders, and engineered drawings.
- PREFERRED:
- Mechanical exposure or Vo-Tech training.
