Runner - Brasserie Boulud - New York

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver food from the kitchen to guests quickly, accurately, and with proper presentation
• Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and Servers to ensure correct orders and timing
• Describe dishes when delivering them to guests, including key ingredients and preparation when needed
• Ensure all plates meet quality and presentation standards before leaving the kitchen
• Assist in expediting orders and maintaining ticket organization during service
• Support Servers and Server Assistants with table maintenance as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of expo stations and service areas
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
• Uphold the restaurant’s standards of professionalism and hospitality at all times

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience preferred, especially in a fast-paced or fine dining environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Able to work efficiently under pressure with a sense of urgency
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Interest in food and hospitality, with a willingness to learn menu knowledge
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to carry multiple plates and lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to move quickly and safely in a high-volume environment

Job Details

Brasserie Boulud is seeking energetic and detail-oriented Food Runners to join our front-of-house team. The Food Runner plays a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of dishes from the kitchen to guests, supporting a seamless flow of service and maintaining the highest standards of presentation and hospitality.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($17.00 - $17.01) plus tips
