RTE (Release Train Engineer)

About the role

The Release Train Engineer (RTE) will be responsible for leading the release train, ensuring that the product is delivered on time and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a deep understanding of scaled agile frameworks like SAFe and experience managing complex, multi-team projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the release train and ensure successful delivery of the product
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on goals and strategies
• Facilitate planning sessions and ensure alignment across the value stream
• Monitor progress against the release plan and adjust as necessary
• Ensure adherence to agile principles and practices
• Mentor and lead other team members in the implementation of agile methodologies

Requirements

• Scaled Agile (SAFe) certification(s): RTE 6.0 (active license)
• Typically 5+ years related experience including 2+ on large scale, technically complex projects
• Familiarity and experience working within the SAFe Framework as an RTE, scrum master, other related mentorship type role, or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum/Kanban development methodology
• Demonstrate execution through complex value streams
• Success in working across multiple teams of stakeholders including IT Teams, Business Teams, Product Managers, Product Owners and Portfolio Managers
• Excellent communication skills, mentorship/leadership competencies, expertise in operating through influence, and high level of emotional intelligence
