Responsibilities
- Provide resources to ensure appropriate safety equipment is used and radiation safety training is conducted.
- Audit on-the-job radiation safety performance and ensure compliance and corrective actions are implemented.
- Maintain licensing documentation, coordinate training programs, and provide technical guidance to staff handling radioactive materials.
- Manage RSO duties for one office and may perform radiography in the field as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Six (6) years full time Radiographer.
- Training in source retrieval and equipment maintenance.
- Training on establishing and maintaining a Radiation Protection Program.
- Demonstrated experience as a leader.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Skills
- Familiarity with applicable License(s), Operating and Emergency Manual (ROEM), NRC, and State Regulations.
- Knowledge of 49 CFR Transportation.
- Valid TWIC card or ability to obtain one.
- State carded/trainee status preferred.
