RSO II - Corpus Christi, TX

Responsibilities

• Provide resources to ensure appropriate safety equipment is used and radiation safety training is conducted.
• Audit on-the-job radiation safety performance and ensure compliance and corrective actions are implemented.
• Maintain licensing documentation, coordinate training programs, and provide technical guidance to staff handling radioactive materials.
• Manage RSO duties for one office and may perform radiography in the field as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Six (6) years full time Radiographer.
• Training in source retrieval and equipment maintenance.
• Training on establishing and maintaining a Radiation Protection Program.
• Demonstrated experience as a leader.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Skills

• Familiarity with applicable License(s), Operating and Emergency Manual (ROEM), NRC, and State Regulations.
• Knowledge of 49 CFR Transportation.
• Valid TWIC card or ability to obtain one.
• State carded/trainee status preferred.
