What You'll Do
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the company's Radiation Safety Program
- Ensure compliance with NRC, Agreement State, federal, state, and local regulations
- Maintain radioactive material licenses and regulatory documentation
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and inspectors
- Conduct radiation safety training and mentoring for employees
- Perform audits, inspections, and program assessments
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
- Develop and enhance safety policies, procedures, and best practices
- Support field operations with on-site radiation safety guidance when required
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization
What We're Looking For
- Required Qualifications:
- Current qualifications to serve as a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO)
- Strong knowledge of NRC and/or Agreement State regulations
- Experience managing radiation safety programs and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities
- Willingness to travel occasionally and support field operations when needed
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Industrial radiography experience
- Experience managing radioactive material licenses
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
- ASNT certifications or additional NDT experience a plus
- Experience working in construction, energy, manufacturing, or industrial environments
