About the Role
As a 12v Electrician I at Rosenbauer, you will route wires for fire apparatus equipment guided by wire diagrams and technical drawings. You will install 12v accessories such as sensors and lights, fabricate boxes, mounts, and other equipment required for electrical installations, and collaborate with fabricators to ensure complete installations.
Responsibilities
- Route 12v electrical wires to equipment following wire diagrams.
- Connect lights, hose reels, and other accessories to electrical boxes.
- Fabricate boxes, mounts, and other equipment required for electrical installation according to blueprints.
- Communicate with fabricators to ensure complete installation.
- Fabricate wire harnesses as needed to complete installations.
- Utilize basic hand tools, shear, and brake press to complete objectives.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of DC electrical equipment required.
- 6 months or related experience required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Math ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Knowledge of basic inspection tools and machining skills.
- Able to recognize and adhere to all safety policies.
- Able to read and work from blueprints/spec books.
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends occasionally as needed to support department needs.
