Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessments
• Performs general and critical care respiratory care procedures
• Provides respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery
• Performs blood gas analysis and interpretation
• Maintains and manages equipment
• Provides patient and family education in both adult and neonatal areas

Qualifications

Education: Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required

Work Experience: Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners (Upon Hire Required)
• BCLS - Basic Life Support (Upon Hire Required)
• ACLS (Upon Hire Required)
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation (Upon Hire Required)
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Required)
