About the Role

The Branch ISD Special Education Department serves students pre-K to age 26 with mild to severe impairments and works closely with local schools in Branch County to provide instructional services, hearing and vision services, physical and occupational therapy, speech, psychological, and nursing services. This position is for a classroom instructor responsible for teaching students with IEPs, adhering to Highly Qualified teaching requirements, and maintaining a professional and positive demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom instruction to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
• Engage in ongoing professional development as required by the State of Michigan.
• Collaborate with the Special Education Supervisor and local schools to support student success.
• Foster positive attitudes and work habits while respecting diversity.

Requirements

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate.
• Special Education endorsement in any disability area.
• General Education Certification in a core academic subject.
• Meet Michigan's Highly Qualified Special Education teacher requirements.

Pay

Salary range: $48,518 - $97,036.
