About the role
The Adult and Older Adult Department combines the strengths of AMAH Adult Community Mental Health and Caulfield Aged and Liaison Psychiatry Services. Our mission is to provide comprehensive, person-centred support to adults and older adults through an expansive range of therapeutic, addiction, trauma-informed, and family violence services.
Responsibilities
- Perform community-based psychiatric assessments including risk assessment.
- Provide comprehensive, person-centred support to adults and older adults.
- Offer specialized pathways for substance use disorders, rehabilitation and recovery, physical and mental health integration, and trauma-focused services.
- Contribute to integrated treatment, education, peer support, care planning, and navigation services.
Requirements
- A current Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board via AHPRA preferably with Psychiatric endorsements or equivalent - Postgraduate qualifications in psychiatric nursing are strongly preferred; OR
- A current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board via AHPRA to practice with the National Board; OR.
- Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Experience in a range of psychiatric interventions indicating an ability to perform community-based psychiatric assessment including that of risk assessment.
- A current driver’s licence is required to undertake this role.
- Australian working rights, satisfactory completion of Working with Children Check and current Influenza vaccination.
Qualifications

Pay
Grade 3 RPN, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist - Salary range: $95,732.00 - $115,304.80
Schedule
Permanent or Fixed-term, Full-Time & Part time positions (64 or 80 hrs + ADO - negotiable)
