RPA Analyst - U.S. Citizenship Required
About the role
CGI Federal is seeking an experienced Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Analyst to support a large Department of Homeland Security program. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, supporting Intelligent Automation solutions, leading process optimization, and delivering new digital services.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders on business process and technology-related initiatives that benefit CGI Federal’s internal and external clients.
- Support Intelligent Automation solutions as part of various project teams.
- Lead efforts in business requirements definition, process optimization, functional design, testing, and end-user support.
- Translate client business needs into optimal digital solution designs.
- Facilitate discovery and analysis sessions to elicit business requirements and define as-is and to-be process workflows.
- Optimize business processes to introduce innovation and improve operational efficiency.
- Communicate a clear vision for new solutions that address operational challenges and business priorities.
- Partner with UX designers, Scrum Masters, and software development teams to design and deliver emerging technology solutions while adhering to Agile best practices.
- Design new application functionality; gather and document requirements as user stories; develop testing strategies; execute QA testing; participate in Sprint demos and Agile ceremonies; and contribute as a lead Business Analyst throughout the Agile software development lifecycle.
- Provide expert-level support to end users and application help desk teams.
- Ensure application functionality meets client objectives and delivers expected business outcomes.
Requirements
- To be successful in this role, due to government contract and clearance requirements, U.S. citizenship and successful completion of a CGI background check are required.
- Active CBP BI or the ability to obtain the required agency clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst.
- Strong ability to translate operational pain points into optimized digital or RPA solutions.
- 3+ years of experience designing and developing automation solutions using RPA tools (e.g., UiPath, Pegasus).
- Experience with automation assessment frameworks such as feasibility scoring and complexity analysis.
- Experience with AI-enabled automation, OCR/IDP tools, and decisioning engines commonly used in DHS environments.
- Familiarity with RPA governance, documentation standards, and lifecycle management.
- Proficiency in Agile development practices.
- Excellent ability to communicate complex automation concepts to non-technical DHS stakeholders.
- Strong documentation skills, including process maps, functional design documents, and test cases.
- Ability to travel to client sites as needed.

Pay
A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 - $218,200.00.
Schedule
This position is located in one of CGI Federal's offices in Fairfax, VA, Lebanon, VA, Lafayette, LA or Knoxville, TN; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to work in a CGI Federal office two days per week. Your future duties and responsibilities will be outlined in your offer letter.
