Roving Security at the Utility Board in Knoxville

About the Role

Full-time Utility Officer will be trained at all posts at the Utility Board in Knoxville. Employees must have a valid Tennessee driver's license, an acceptable driving record (no multiple occurrences, DUI, etc.), and be at least 25 years old to be covered under the Walden Security Auto Insurance Policy. If covering one of the Rover schedules, the employee will use a company vehicle to patrol various KUB locations in Knoxville. The role requires high levels of mobility, including walking to scan QR codes at facilities and driving the parameters.

The Utility Officer covers medical leaves, sicknesses, vacations, and abandoned posts until a replacement is hired and trained. Must be available for any shift.

Responsibilities

Security Officers protect the industrial or commercial property of our clients against fire, vandalism, and illegal entry. Clients include Class-A office buildings, luxury residential properties, distilleries, Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions, telecommunications, manufacturing/industrial factories, hospitals, and others.

Requirements

• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test
• Valid Tennessee driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• At least 25 years old (for auto insurance coverage)
