About the Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Roving Banker Manager for our National Branch Network within the Consumer Banking and Lending division. In this role, you will manage Roving Bankers within your assigned region, reinforcing the behavior framework, supporting tools, and branch initiatives while ensuring critical staffing coverage for your districts. Your leadership will drive success, customer satisfaction, and business growth. This position supports branches in the Western Montana District, including Helena, MT.
Responsibilities
- Coach, develop, and influence the assigned Roving Banker team to execute business strategies, achieve results, and drive growth by engaging customers, understanding their needs, and building proactive relationships.
- Partner with District Managers and branch managers to identify trends, recognize gaps, and create strategic solutions for regions.
- Assess and leverage National Branch Network reporting data alongside observations to inform coaching and recommendations for improved performance at the region, district, and branch levels.
- Serve as an expert resource on tools and initiatives used by the National Branch Network, such as "Plan My Day," "Help More," and "Engage More" activities.
- Maximize banker success by ensuring frequent opportunities to develop skills, knowledge, and acumen related to the behavior framework and other introduced topics.
- Manage and execute resource allocation in alignment with strategic goals to optimize National Branch Network performance, including staffing requests and scheduling adjustments.
- Provide support structure across the assigned National Branch Network region as needed.
- Establish strong relationships and partnerships with branch management.
Requirements
- 5+ years of banking, financial services, or branch network experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 2+ years of leadership experience.
Qualifications
- Management experience including hiring, coaching, and developing direct reports.
- Ability to build and inspire a team where adaptability, collaboration, and accountability to performance are critical.
- Experience managing a remote workforce and navigating a matrixed environment.
- Experience allocating workforce within an assigned district to ensure optimal branch coverage.
- Adaptable and flexible coaching style that considers the needs and learning styles of a diverse team.
- Understanding of the behavior framework, the management cycle, and how it ties to business growth.
- Experience and knowledge in coaching across customer segments, including affluent, high net worth, and small business.
- Extensive experience in asking questions and identifying complex financial needs to provide relevant customer options.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.
- Ability to manage time and competing priorities, exercise independent judgment, and use critical thinking skills.
- Experience leading implementation strategies for innovative branch banking tools and contact management systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of banking industry laws and regulations, compliance, controls, risk management, and loss prevention.
- Relevant military experience, including working with military protocol and instructions, enlisted evaluations, or officer/leadership reporting.
Job Expectations
