About the Role

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Roving Personal Banker (SAFE) for our National Branch Network within the Consumer Banking and Lending division. In this role, you will provide support across a variety of branch locations within a specific geography, covering absences or temporary vacancies. You’ll adapt to changing priorities and new surroundings while delivering an exceptional customer experience through proactive outreach, relationship-building, and proposing appropriate products, services, and digital solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support across multiple branch locations where a banker or teller is out of the office or to temporarily cover vacancies.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities while meeting customer needs.
  • Build customer relationships through proactive outreach and propose products, services, and digital solutions to help customers succeed financially.
  • Assist customers with basic requests, including opening new accounts, completing service requests, and submitting credit applications.
  • Receive direction from managers and exercise judgment within defined policies and procedures.
  • Develop an understanding of bank products and services to connect to customer needs.
  • Interact with customers to demonstrate care and build relationships.
  • Provide appropriate options for bank products and services.
  • Refer customers’ financial needs to other bankers and partners as needed.
  • Maintain a cash drawer, handle cash balancing, and complete service-related tasks as needed.

This SAFE position involves customer contact and job duties that may include offering, negotiating, or taking applications for dwelling-secured transactions. Compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations is required. Ongoing employment is contingent upon meeting these requirements, including acceptable background investigation results. Individuals in this position must also meet Loan Originator (LO) requirements under Regulation Z.

Requirements

  • 6+ months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Qualifications

  • Customer service focus with experience handling complex transactions across multiple systems.
  • Experience proactively engaging with customers through outreach via phone or email.
  • Ability to educate customers on technology and share the value of mobile banking options.
  • Experience helping customers succeed financially by connecting them to additional team members as appropriate.
  • Experience working with others on a team to meet customer needs.
  • Ability to foster and develop strong customer relationships.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal partners.
  • Ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Ability to identify potential fraud/risky accounts and take appropriate action to prevent loss.
  • Ability to interact with integrity and professionalism with customers and team members.
  • Relevant military experience, including working with military protocol, personnel benefits management, or human resources.
  • Proficiency in proactively sourcing, acquiring, building, and maintaining relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to support customers and employees in resolving or escalating concerns or complaints.

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel 100% of the time to different branches within the assigned geography.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed or scheduled.
  • Must complete SAFE registration at the time of employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process immediately after your start date.
  • Must meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements for Loan Originator (LO) positions, including financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards. A current credit report will be used to assess financial responsibility and credit fitness.
