About This Role

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Roving Personal Banker (SAFE) for our National Branch Network within the Consumer Banking and Lending division. In this role, you will provide support across a variety of branch locations within a specific geography to cover absences or temporary vacancies. You will deliver exceptional customer experiences by building relationships, proposing financial solutions, and assisting with account openings, service requests, and credit applications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support across multiple branch locations within a defined geography where staffing gaps exist due to absences or vacancies.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and new environments while meeting customer needs.
  • Build customer relationships through proactive outreach and propose appropriate products, services, and digital solutions to help customers succeed financially.
  • Assist customers with basic requests, including opening new accounts, completing service requests, and submitting credit applications.
  • Receive direction from managers and exercise judgment within defined policies and procedures.
  • Develop an understanding of bank products and services to connect them to customer needs.
  • Interact with customers to demonstrate care and build relationships.
  • Provide appropriate options for bank products and services and refer customers to other bankers or partners as needed.
  • Maintain cash drawer, handle cash balancing, and complete service-related tasks as required.

Requirements

This SAFE position involves customer contact and job duties that may include offering, negotiating, or taking applications for dwelling-secured transactions. Compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations is required. Ongoing employment is contingent upon meeting these requirements, including acceptable background investigation results. Individuals in this role must also meet Loan Originator (LO) requirements under Regulation Z.

  • 6+ months of customer interaction experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Ability to travel 100% of the time to different branches within the assigned geography.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed or scheduled.
  • SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo will initiate this process after your start date.
  • Must meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements, including financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards. A credit report will be used to assess financial responsibility, though a credit score is not part of the evaluation.

  • Ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Ability to identify potential fraud or risky accounts and take appropriate action to prevent loss.
  • Professionalism and integrity in interactions with customers and team members.
  • Relevant military experience, including working with military protocol, personnel benefits management, or human resources.
  • Proficient in proactively sourcing, acquiring, building, and maintaining relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Experience supporting customers and employees in resolving or escalating concerns or complaints.
