Roving Maintenance Technician

About the Role

A Roving Maintenance Technician supports the Regional Maintenance Managers and community Maintenance Managers, assuming a leadership role in their absence. This position provides quality service to residents, diagnoses problems, and makes repairs while adhering to Venterra's 48-Hour Service Guarantee. The ideal candidate will have EPA Universal or Type I or II HVAC certification, reliable transportation, and strong verbal communication skills. This role requires flexibility to report on short notice to communities in the Jacksonville, Florida region and covers a wide range of maintenance needs to assist on-site teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance in areas including:
  • Electrical
  • Plumbing
  • HVAC
  • Appliance repair
  • Locks and keys
  • Basic carpentry
  • Painting and drywall repair
  • Janitorial and grounds maintenance
• Provide on-call coverage for emergencies after hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Respond to and remedy maintenance issues in a timely manner.
• Support multiple communities within the Jacksonville region.

Requirements

• EPA Universal or Type I or II HVAC certification.
• Prior experience in the facilities maintenance field.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
• Self-starter with the ability to take initiative.
• Reliable vehicle for travel between communities.
• Flexibility to report on short notice.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
