Roving Maintenance Technician

About the Role

A Roving Maintenance Technician supports the Regional Maintenance Managers and community Maintenance Managers, stepping into a leadership role when needed. You’ll deliver quality service to residents, diagnose issues, and perform repairs while ensuring Venterra’s 48-Hour Service Guarantee is met. This position requires EPA Universal or Type I/II HVAC certification, flexibility to respond on short notice, reliable transportation, and strong verbal communication with residents and team members. You’ll assist on-site teams with a broad range of maintenance tasks across multiple communities in the Dallas/Ft. Worth region.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance in areas such as:
• Electrical
• Plumbing
• HVAC
• Appliance repair
• Locks and keys
• Basic carpentry
• Painting and drywall repair
• Janitorial and grounds maintenance
• Provide on-call coverage for emergencies after hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Respond to and resolve maintenance issues promptly to meet service guarantees.
• Support day-to-day operations across multiple communities.

Requirements

• EPA Universal or Type I/II HVAC certification.
• Prior experience in facilities maintenance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to take initiative.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Reliable vehicle for travel between communities.
• Flexibility to report on short notice.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
