Roving Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks, windows, floors, and other parts of the building.
• Maintains the grounds as assigned which may include trash pick-up, shoveling, and sweeping curb/dumpster area, maintaining landscape beds and other areas.
• Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities.
• Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwashers, etc.).
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues, diagnose problems, replace and/or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• HVAC – EPA Universal Certification is required.
• Bachelor's degree or higher education beyond a high school diploma is desired.
• At a minimum, 5+ years of HVAC, medium plumbing and light electrical experience required.
• In addition, the candidate should have experience with general handy work and drywall/leak repairs.
• Knowledge of Section 8 and rental licensing preferred, not required.
• Have reliable transportation and valid drivers license as this role will be roving to different locations.
• Pass a drug test and background check before employment.
• Bachelor's degree in trade school is highly preferred.

About the Role

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Roving Maintenance Technician to help assist with a client’s portfolio with their affordable housing properties. The ideal candidate will have general maintenance knowledge, be self-motivated, be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

Schedule

This is a full-time on-site role Roving as a Maintenance Technician. Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm.

Pay

Salary: $30-$35/hour DOQ.
