Roving Loan Officer

About the role

Roving Loan Officer reports to the Branch Manager and/or Regional Director. Performs all loan functions for members up to the authorized limit set by the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities

• Travel to various branch locations, as assigned, to assist when short‑staffed.
• Interview members requesting loans in person or by telephone; complete and approve loan applications, provide NADA values, monthly payments, and loan payoffs to members.
• Work indirect loans as assigned.
• Conduct financial counseling with members.
• Work other branches as needed.
• Update member records on the computer system and work assigned delinquent accounts.
• Adhere to all Red River Employees Federal Credit Union policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Two years or more of experience in a lending capacity for a financial institution.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Competent computer skills and use of standard office equipment.
• Ability to meet, speak, and deal effectively with people, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance.

Physical Requirements

• Operate normal office equipment.
• Lift objects not exceeding 25 pounds.
