Run Routes. Build Your Career. Waste Pro is looking for a hands-on Route Supervisor to lead daily residential collection operations in Fort Pierce, Florida. If you have experience supervising drivers, delivery teams, transportation operations, logistics employees, construction crews, public works teams, landscaping crews, equipment operators, or other field-based employees, we want to hear from you. You will: Supervise and support CDL drivers and route employeesCoordinate daily routes, staffing, equipment, and service prioritiesStart the day with your team and help ensure routes are staffed and ready to operateConduct field observations, route checks, and employee ride-alongsCoach employees on safety, productivity, attendance, customer service, and job performanceMonitor route completion and respond to operational issues throughout the dayHelp improve route efficiency and labor productivityLead safety meetings and reinforce Waste Pro's safety expectationsInvestigate accidents, injuries, property damage, and safety incidentsComplete required incident and operational documentationRespond to customer concerns and help resolve service issuesWork closely with Fleet Maintenance when trucks require repairs or serviceAssist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, and developing employeesConduct performance discussions and hold employees accountable when expectations are not metEnsure compliance with DOT, OSHA, company policies, and applicable safety regulationsStep in to support route coverage and operations when needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent with 3–5 years of experience in transportation, management, logistics, waste/recycling, or a related field; ORAssociate degree with at least 2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or solid waste operations where coaching, route assessments, and employee supervision are key responsibilities.Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.Ability to coach employees, assess route performance, and provide day-to-day operational leadership.Knowledge and prior application of Smith System and/or Decision Driving principles and techniques preferred.Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, ANSI, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proven customer service and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and resolve problems in a fast-paced environment.Basic computer skills with general knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, based on operational needs.Must be available by phone to address operational issues as needed.Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude when working with employees and customers.Knowledge of basic first-aid techniques is helpful. CDL Qualification A Florida Class A or Class B CDL is preferred. If selected without a CDL, Waste Pro will provide you with the opportunity to obtain the required CDL within three (3) months of hire.Personal and business driving record must meet Waste Pro standards and insurance requirements.
