Route Supervisor

Job Summary

The Route Supervisor supports the Service Department in providing excellent customer service and assists with the management of route districts. The RS reports to the District Manager.

Essential Functions

• Aid in developing a productive team through training, meetings, and fostering a positive work environment.
• Assist the District Manager in maintaining customer loyalty and outstanding service through visits, audits, and problem-solving.
• Communicate changes and policies, evaluate route organization, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Evaluate service procedures and recommend improvements.
• Perform general route responsibilities as needed.
• Safely operate company vehicles and adhere to all laws and company policies.
• Support retention and growth efforts, manage sales, promotions, and contests, and ensure a profitable product mix.
• Assume responsibilities of a Route Relief/Utility RSR as needed.
• Upsell, cross-sell, and sample services/products, ensuring a profitable product mix.
• Maintain service agreements and monitor competitive activity.
• Report on competitive activity and keep service agreements current and renewed.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and perform other tasks as directed.

Additional Functions

• Work with and support other service personnel as required.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License and be 21 years or older.
• Free of chargeable accidents, speeding, safety or other violations.
• Excellent customer service and route sales skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Good time management and teamwork skills.
• Ability to recognize and count product accurately.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Travel Requirements

Frequently within the branch area.

Physical Demands/Requirements

• Sitting, grasping, driving, stooping, moving equipment, kneeling, reaching overhead, lifting up to 75 lbs, standing, walking, writing, speaking, hearing.
