About the role

Flowers Bakeries Sales of NorCal, LLC is seeking a high-performing Route Sales Representative (RSR) to order, sell, and deliver fresh baked products. The successful candidate will build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensure vehicle maintenance, and drive sales growth through effective in-store promotions and product rotation.

Responsibilities

• Order, sell, and deliver fresh baked products to customers.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance and build strong customer relationships.
• Perform daily vehicle checks, report maintenance issues, and maintain accurate logs (driver’s logs, time logs, hours of service).
• Work flexible hours, including early mornings (typically starting around 3:00 AM) with days off on Wednesday and Sunday.
• Increase sales by expanding shelf space, creating in-store promotions, and maximizing product shelf life through proper rotation.
• Use data and marketing plans to drive customer growth and satisfaction.
• Service accounts during customer-designated windows, potentially requiring non-traditional hours.
• Work independently and as part of a team in a Direct Store Delivery (DSD) environment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card.
• Valid state driver’s license and documented safe driving record.
• Must meet Fleet Insurance Guidelines.
• Adhere to federal, state, and local rules for operating a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV).
• Complete a 4-week company-paid RSR training program.
• Ability to push or pull up to 50 lbs. regularly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Sales experience (preferred).
• Delivery driver experience (preferred).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (a plus, but not required).

Pay

Annual compensation is between $70,000 – $85,000, comprised of a base hourly wage plus commission.

Schedule

• Early morning start times, typically around 3:00 AM.
• Days off are Wednesday and Sunday.
• Flexibility to work varying workdays and non-traditional hours as needed.
