About the Role

Under the general direction of the Route Sales Supervisor, the Route Sales Representative serves as a liaison to Lottery retail accounts. Assigned a state van, this role conducts daily field visits to a predetermined portion of assigned Lottery retailers to maintain direct contact and handle all functions related to the sale of Lottery products.

This position is based in Los Angeles County, with headquarters at our Santa Fe Springs District Office. The role is not eligible for telework, and employees must report to their assigned office.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between the California State Lottery and assigned retail accounts
• Conduct daily field visits to retailers within Los Angeles County
• Maintain direct contact with retailers to support Lottery product sales
• Perform all functions associated with the sale and distribution of Lottery products
• Work independently in outdoor weather conditions
• Travel daily within the assigned territory, primarily in a state van

Requirements

• Current Route Sales Representative exam (or eligibility to take the exam if score has expired)
• Ability to report to the Santa Fe Springs District Office
• Daily travel within Los Angeles County
• Willingness to work in outdoor weather conditions

Qualifications

• Experience working in a sales route or territory
• Business-to-business sales history
• Experience developing customer relationships
• Strong communication skills
• Experience merchandising products or promotional materials
• Experience working with sales data

Schedule

8-hour shifts as assigned, Monday through Friday.

Working Conditions

• Majority of work performed in the field at Lottery retailer locations or within a state van
• Daily travel required
• Work independently in outdoor weather conditions
