Route Driver Trainer (Monday -Friday) - CDL Experienced
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Driver Trainer / Utility Driver to be our go-to transportation professional in Salt Lake City. This role is ideal for someone who knows the job inside and out, can train new drivers, and is willing to jump into any route or assignment when needed. They will also have 3+ years of CDL Box Truck driving experience and a Class B License. This is not a desk job. We need someone who can step into a truck at a moment's notice, cover open routes, assist during staffing shortages, train and mentor new drivers, and handle overnight or extended routes as business demands. The right candidate is dependable, adaptable, and takes pride in being the person the team can count on when challenges arise. Responsibilities
- Train and coach new and existing drivers on safe driving practices, DOT compliance, route efficiency, customer service, and company procedures
- Assist Transport Supervisor with daily operations and oversight of driving team
- Assist transportation leadership with onboarding and development of drivers
- Conduct ride-alongs and provide hands-on driver training and performance feedback
- Cover open routes due to vacations, call-offs, staffing shortages, or business needs
