Route Driver - Home Every Day

About the role

Darling Ingredients is seeking a Route Driver in the Wellman, IA area. This position offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to drive for a stable, worldwide company.

Responsibilities

• Collect and transport raw materials from various customers
• Manage routes using an onboard computer (OBC) and a backup paper log
• Ensure your truck is clean and complete a daily vehicle condition report
• Provide exceptional customer service and comply with all laws and regulations
• Operate a straight truck or tractor-trailer

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Authorized to work in the US
• Valid Class A or Class B CDL license (tanker endorsement preferred)
• Good driving record
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Customer service skills
• Two years of experience operating a commercial vehicle in a route delivery setting (preferred but not required)
• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
• Highly organized with superior time management skills
• Maintain composure in difficult situations
• Easily adapt to changes and work well with others

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the US
• Must have a valid Class A or Class B CDL license (tanker endorsement preferred)

Pay

Class A CDL: $30.42/hour
Class B CDL: $29.26/hour
Plus overtime

Schedule

All route delivery drivers operate routes in their local area and are home every night. This full-time CDL truck driving job also offers the opportunity to work regular overtime.
