JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drives truck in a safe manner and in compliance with D.O.T. regulations.
- Loads and unloads truck.
- Makes local deliveries.
- Inspects equipment daily to ensure that it remains in safe and efficient working order.
- Delivers product to customers as directed.
- Completes required paperwork.
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of Class A tractor-trailer driving.
- Must be free of any moving violations and/or violation points.
- Must be flexible to work any 5 days of the week including holidays.
- Must possess and maintain a permanent Class A Tractor Trailer commercial driver’s license.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- A High school Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Must be able to display basic arithmetic skills.
TRAINING, SKILLS, LICENSES
- A Class B Commercial Driver’s License is required.
- One year of CDL driving experience is required.
- One year of experience working in a warehouse, Electric Pallet Jack experience and/or Produce experience is preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear.
- The employee is frequently exposed to wet, loud, cold and/or humid conditions.
- The employee frequently is required to walk, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, rotate or twist, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
