Job Summary
The Route Driver operates a raw materials collection vehicle in order to provide removal of the material from multiple customer locations.
Shift Times
- Monday - Friday - 10-12 hour shifts
- 2nd Shift
- Saturdays
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Collecting & inspecting the raw material at the time of pick up, checking for any foreign or hazardous material.
- Providing the customer with a receipt of pick up which contains weight of product and signature of management at location.
- Maintaining the company vehicle you use, maintaining it in cleanest possible manner, and operating it in accordance with Company, federal, state and local regulations.
- May be required to maintain a DOT log book.
- Maintaining excellent customer relations by providing quality, professional service at all times.
- Following all of our Company safety procedures and guidelines.
- Other duties may be assigned by management as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidates need to be at least 21 years old due to DOT regulations and nature of the work.
- A CDL Class A license is required due to the type of work and DOT requirements.
- Candidates need to be registered on https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/ due to DOT requirements.
- Must be able to operate a manual vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior route experience within a customer-oriented environment would be preferred.
- Familiarity with the equipment used and ability to do a thorough pre-trip and post-trip of the equipment would be preferred.
- Basic math and writing skills are required.
- Understanding of traffic laws along with DOT regulations related to the commercial vehicle you are operating would be an advantage.
