Route Driver at Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling Company plays a key role in the sales process, making timely deliveries of products to customer locations. They may also assist with setting out and rotating new product and adjusting point-of-sale displays.
Responsibilities
- Follow work orders and standard operating procedures (SOPs) while making deliveries along a designated route
- Adhere to all DOT laws and company policies and standards
- Unload vehicle at customer sites, moving product to designated locations, filling shelves, rotating stock, building displays, and receiving prior unsold goods (credits)
- Follow all safety regulations and maintain a clean, orderly work area at customer sites
- Ensure professional contact with customers and maintain a clean, neat appearance to represent the company and Coca-Cola brand
- Demonstrate ethical conduct at all times
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- No more than 2 moving violations and no OWIs in the last five years
- Class A CDL with air brakes (company will assist candidate in obtaining if needed)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor to uphold the company’s brand image
- Ability to read and follow directions and work orders
- Adherence to all safety requirements and protocols
- Customer-focused and team-oriented mindset
- Flexibility to adapt to varying situations
- Light computer experience is helpful
- Regular, consistent attendance is essential
- Reliable transportation
Working Conditions
- Travel to various customer sites with differing environments
- Physically active role requiring alertness and focus while driving
- Frequent lifting and/or moving of items up to 55 lbs (equipment and tools provided to reduce strain)
- Physical demands include standing, walking, twisting, grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, sitting, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Frequent customer interaction and ability to climb stairs
- Extensive day travel required
- Exposure to a variety of weather conditions (e.g., sun, rain, sleet, snow, cold, heat)
