The Route Delivery Driver is a key role supporting operational efficiency, enhancing brand reputation, and driving sales. This position is ideal for someone who is customer service-oriented, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented.
Responsibilities
- Be a role model in applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence, and Teamwork) and promote teamwork.
- Ensure goods are loaded into trucks in a safe and logical order; communicate needed changes to the manager.
- Ensure the load is properly secured.
- Verify orders to ensure correct products are loaded and delivered.
- Deliver orders to customers according to a predetermined route delivery schedule; communicate routing changes to the manager.
- Handle merchandise in a safe and efficient manner.
- Unload products from the delivery truck and place product as the customer desires.
- Provide efficient, accurate, and productive service to customers.
- Perform backhauls, airport pickups, and other tasks as needed.
- Complete all necessary delivery paperwork accurately and in full, including credit/debit documentation.
- Return all shipping documents, return product, and credit documentation to the designated area after deliveries.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any maintenance problems to the manager.
- Maintain the integrity of the company-customer relationship within the scope of the job function.
- Address and communicate customer issues and requests promptly to facilitate resolution.
- Represent the company positively in all customer interactions.
- Perform all required safety checks (e.g., pre/post-trip) to meet company safety standards; report safety issues or needed repairs.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
- Adhere to all company, state, and federal rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall goals and objectives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- A minimum of one year of related experience in delivery and sales of perishable food products.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a road test.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven track record of succeeding in time-sensitive situations.
- Familiarity with the local area, including streets, highways, and buildings.

- Occasionally stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay
$23.03 - $26.03 per hour.
