About the role

Responsibilities
- : Prepare the delivery vehicle each day before leaving the warehouse to ensure it is loaded correctly; familiarize yourself with the route layout and customers’ requests to complete the scheduled route.
- Complete all deliveries on route as scheduled.
- Ensure route optimization by identifying challenges or roadblocks ahead of time to complete the route in the most efficient manner.
- Customer service: Interact with customers while representing the company in a professional and courteous manner. Address customer questions or concerns during deliveries.
- Product knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of the products being delivered and the proper product handling associated with bottled water, PE tanks, salt, and additional products as applicable. Provide information about products to customers when necessary.
- Documentation: Complete customer agreements and route sheets accurately and legibly. Perform payment collection from customers; promptly turn in customer payments and daily activity sheets to the office staff at the end of each workday. Adhere to the proper utilization of handheld palm units, while entering accurate information concerning the customer and abiding by all rules concerning its use.
- Safety: Operate delivery vehicles safely; adhere to traffic rules and DOT regulations. Perform Daily Vehicle Inspections (DVIR’s) and report any issues to management.
Requirements
- Maintain a valid Driver’s License.
- Pass a DOT Physical & DOT Drug Screen.
- Pass a criminal background check per Company requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age or older and be able to successfully pass, and maintain, a driving record check to be insurable by the Company to operate a company vehicle.
- Operate/drive company vehicles up to 26,001 lbs. daily for approximately 8-10 hours.
- Able to safely lift up to 90lbs on a repetitive basis.
- Remain physically capable, with or without reasonable accommodation, of performing the duties required of this position.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a similar role preferred.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Effective communication and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Adaptability and flexibility to accommodate customer and business needs.
