Position Title: Department: Roustabout Field OperationsLocation:DJ Basin, ColoradoReports to:Maintenance ForemanSalary Range: $24/hr. - $29/hr. Job Summary The Roustabout position is responsible for performing maintenance, repair, and construction activities across oil and gas well sites and production facilities in the DJ Basin. This role is responsible for safe, efficient, and compliant execution of field operations, including facility upkeep, equipment installation, cost control, and environmental stewardship while meeting all applicable Colorado and federal regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Flowline installation and repair Tank battery maintenanceSeparator, heater treater, and production equipment maintenanceValve replacement and piping modifications Poly and steel pipeline repairs Proficient operation of heavy equipment, skid steer, backhoe, telehandler, EtcFencing, containment, and lease road maintenance Equipment setting using cranes Storm water managementLease mowing and vegetation management General facility maintenance and repairs Pressure testing and commissioning of production equipment Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade certification preferred 3-5 years of oil & gas construction and maintenance experience Strong understanding of DJ Basin facility construction standards and production systems Valid CDL driver’s license (Class A, Air brakes not required, Automatic only is acceptable)Required certifications: OSHA 10/30, H2S Awareness, First Aid/CPR (or ability to obtain) Work environment Primarily outdoor work in varying weather conditions across the DJ Basin Exposure to heavy equipment, noise, and hazardous materials Physically demanding work including lifting, climbing, and extended periods on foot Long hours, rotational schedules, and on-call availability may be required Travel between multiple job sites within the basin Core Competencies Strong team leadership skillsStrong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Effective communication and organizational skills Ability to work in fast-paced, physically demanding outdoor environments Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure employee benefits Prairie Operating Employee Co., LLC offers competitive compensation and benefits programs which include, but are not limited to, health care coverage, retirement plan, protection coverage, time off and leave programs, training and development opportunities and a range of allowances connected to specific work situations.
