Role Overview
An experienced Rough Carpentry Journeyman responsible for framing high-quality residential homes, additions, and remodels throughout the Metro Detroit area.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction plans
- Lay out and frame walls, floors, roofs, and structural components
- Install weatherproofing and exterior finishes
- Support framing on occupied homes
- Ensure safety and organization on job sites
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in residential rough framing
- Ability to read blueprints
- Knowledge of framing systems
- Safe working on roofs and elevated areas
- Physical strength to handle materials
- Effective communication
- Reliable transportation
Preferred Attributes
- 5+ years of experience
- Expertise in complex roof framing
- High-end residential projects
- Familiarity with various building materials
- Safety certifications
