Rotordynamics Systems Design Engineer

About the role

As a Rotordynamics Systems Engineer at Caterpillar Inc., you will shape the design, manufacture, test, and after-market support of gas turbine rotors and bearings. Your scope includes rotors, bearings, adjacent engine static structures, and interactions with package accessory and control systems. You’ll collaborate globally to create stronger, more sustainable communities through innovation and progress.

Responsibilities

• Design single components and perform system-level rotordynamic analyses.
• Drive applied process improvements, such as balancing methodology, production sequences, or testing plans.
• Provide manufacturing support by collaborating with production engineers and shop personnel to guide the manufacture of components critical to rotordynamic system behavior.
• Support field and test operations by interacting with test engineers and field personnel to ensure proper vibration data acquisition, diagnose product health, and offer troubleshooting recommendations.

Requirements

• Onsite work required five days a week.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a drug screen.

Pay

Summary pay range: $120,600.00 - $180,900.00. Compensation and benefits may vary based on job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance, and experience.
