About the role

As an Air Ambulance Pilot, you are essential in providing rapid, life-saving transportation for patients, ensuring safety for the medical team and passengers during flights.

Responsibilities

  • Operate aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations
  • Plan and execute flights considering weather, weight, and fuel
  • Collaborate with medical staff, ground crew, and dispatch for seamless missions
  • Respond promptly to emergency calls
  • Maintain accurate flight and maintenance logs
  • Represent the organization professionally

Requirements

  • FAA certifications: Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
  • Current FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate
  • Minimum flight experience: 2,500 helicopter hours, with cross-country, night, and instrument hours
  • Strong skills in flight planning, communication, decision-making, team collaboration, situational awareness, and safety compliance
  • Physical ability to sit, perform pre/post-flight inspections, lift up to 50 pounds, and meet FAA medical standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Air ambulance operations experience
  • Night Vision Goggle experience
  • Turbine-engine hours
  • Proximity to the assigned base

Pay

Hourly rate: $46.24 - $72.80, based on experience

40 hours per week
