Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineer

About the role

The Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of rotating equipment within HECO's industrial facilities. This role involves conducting root cause analysis, implementing preventive maintenance strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Conducting root cause analysis on rotating equipment failures
• Implementing and managing preventive maintenance programs
• Collaborating with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to enhance plant reliability
• Developing and maintaining asset management systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in rotating equipment reliability engineering
• Proficiency in using reliability software tools such as ReliaSoft, Prognos, etc.
• Experience with predictive maintenance techniques and methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ISO 55000 standards
• Experience with asset management systems like SAP or similar
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license
