Rope Access Electrical Technician - Kingsport, TN

Responsibilities

• Carries out standard rope access operations to perform maintenance, repairs, and other industrial work tasks on industrial petrol/chemical equipment while on ropes.
• Performs rescue operations as needed.
• Completes technical reports and administrative tasks as assigned.
• Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to IRATA/SPRAT standards and practices.
• Ensures team members utilize proper personal protective equipment.
• Displays a healthy respect for heights and follows all OSHA, site-specific, and company safety procedures.
• Participates in required training and maintains a working understanding of rope access safe working practices.
• Inspects and verifies rope access systems and components before use.
• Recognizes worksite hazards and notifies the Rope Access Supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
• Maintains proficiency at rescue techniques and assists in rescues as directed and in accordance with certification level.
• Performs physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, and walking.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• IRATA/SPRAT Level I, II, or III certification.
• Current TWIC Card Required.
• NCCER Certified and/or holds a Electrician County/State license.
• Minimum of 3 years as an Industrial Electrician.
• NFPA 70e certification (2024 or 2027).
• Capacity for work at height.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Passes a background check and drug test.

Qualifications

• Essential Qualifications: SPRAT or IRATA Level I, II, or III certified.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
