About the Role
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the standards of cleanliness are met. They assign tasks, inspect work to ensure it's up to standard, and provide training on how to best handle customers' requests.
Responsibilities
- Schedule room and cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage.
- Inspect all assigned rooms and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, etc. are clean and in good repair.
- Provide efficient and objective feedback to room attendants to drive efficiency and quality within the housekeeping department.
- Ensure that all associates have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms including nametags and designated PPE.
- Train associates on safety standards and enforce those standards consistently.
- Identify associates engaging in unsafe behaviors and retrain them appropriately.
- Complete accident investigations and take steps to prevent future accidents.
- Perform all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning.
- Verify and update the status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift.
- Perform opening and closing shift duties.
- Notify maintenance department of maintenance repairs necessary.
- Monitor cleanliness of hotels including parking lot and exterior entrances.
- Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
